Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, demons, and sinister influences expanding in influence within Dol-Makjar.
Heads-up: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure follow below.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The third episode ended with a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of adventurers who will split off from the main group to undertake their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table consists of Teor (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
Given an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Soldiers, Schemers, and Explorers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where peaceful solutions are rare.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the group knows exactly where to go next after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the story’s plot—used the foes for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.
The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above the urban center, with Cyd close behind.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each character has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, wants retribution.
- Kattigan has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a hostile location.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- However, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the group access locations they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him anywhere.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:
- The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and The cleric turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.
This means them few options but to travel to the northern region in search of Casimir.
